Christian Armstrong was raised in Taylor, with family roots stretching back three generations—long before the city was officially established. With a background in business management, account management, and coaching, he brings practical leadership and a results-driven approach to problem-solving.
He is committed to serving the community through action, not just words. As a Taylor Recreation Commissioner, Christian works to expand and improve local programs while making sure taxpayer dollars are used wisely. He also serves on the board of the Father Clement Kern Foundation, which provides scholarships to Catholic schools—highlighting his dedication to education and opportunity for working families.
Christian also serves as head basketball coach at his alma mater, Most Holy Trinity Catholic School in Corktown—the oldest continuously operating Catholic school in Michigan. His coaching reflects a lifelong commitment to mentorship, discipline, and helping the next generation succeed.
Professionally, Christian works in the Michigan House of Representatives, where he’s gained valuable insight into how government operates. He’s ready to bring that experience—and the relationships he’s built in Lansing—to help deliver real results for the people of Taylor.
Christian is running to root out the good old boy system that has held the city back and to fight for transparency, accountability, and real representation. He stands with the working and middle-class residents of Taylor who deserve a city government that puts their needs first.
It’s time for new energy, honest leadership, and a City Council that works for the people.
